Chairman of the Board
Since joining GMI in 1969, Mr. Grady has worked in virtually every division of the company, gaining a broad, hands-on perspective and expertise. He began his property management career assisting managers of multi-family residential communities while in high school and throughout college. In 1972, he was promoted to Resident Manager of a 783 unit garden apartment community. Two years later, he was promoted to Property Manager and assigned to GMI's main office. In 1975, Mr. Grady was named Condominium Coordinator. He was appointed Assistant Vice President of the Rental Division in 1978, promoted to Vice President in 1980, and in 1988 was appointed President. Mr. Grady was appointed Chairman of the Board in 1998.
Brian S. Alford
Mr. Alford has a Bachelors degree in Property Management from Virginia Tech University. Prior to joining GMI as Assistant Vice President, Rental Division in 2007, he was a Regional Asset Manager for SunAmerican Affordable Housing Partners where he was responsible for overseeing the financial performance of a portfolio of 15,000 units while ensuring compliance of the tax credit stream on each property. Previously, he was a Regional Property Manager with Kettler Management as well as Archstone-Smith, overseeing affordable housing and conventional market rate apartments. He has accorded the designation of Certified Property Manager (CPM) by the Institute of Real Estate Management and is a member of IREM, and the Property Management Association and he is a Board Member for MAAHMA. Mr. Alford was promoted to Vice President, Rental Division in 2010, and, in 2017, Mr. Alford was appointed President of Grady Management, Inc.
In 2016, Mr. Alford joined the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington's Board of Directors. Learn more about this distinction here.
Vice President, Rental Operations
Ms. Shrader joined Grady Management, Inc. as the Vice President of Rental Operations in August of 2017. Ms. Shrader has worked in the property management industry for more than 25 years. Prior to joining the Grady Management team, she held the position of regional manager for UDR.

Jean Paul Savary
Vice President, Finance
Mr. Jean Paul Savary has been involved in the finance field for more than 20 years. Since joining Grady Management, Inc. in 1993, Mr. Savary has overseen all aspects of procedures, preparation of financial statements, and governmental reporting. Mr. Savary has been directly responsible for more than $325,000,000 in refinancing, acquisition, and disposition transactions. Jean Paul Savary holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Economics and earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland-College Park in 1991.
Kenneth B. Liming
Vice President, Human Resources
Mr. Liming joined Grady Management, Inc. in 1998 and has been working in the human resources arena since 1987. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources Department, which services our approximately 400 employees who are spread across two states in 50 locations. Mr. Liming holds a Master of Science in Human Resources from the University of Maryland- College Park. In addition, his certifications include Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute and Certificated Compensation Professional (CCP) from the World at Work organization.
