Grady Management team members volunteered to serve a lunchtime meal at the nonprofit organization Shepherd's Table as a component of the Grady Gives initiative.
Grady team members served a meal to Shepherd's Table clients on May 7. All Grady volunteers assisted clients in the front of the kitchen, on the "kitchen line", providing food items and beverages to individuals eating lunch at Shepherd's Table. Volunteers also assisted with meal prep, such as assembling salads and organizing cutlery and condiments, and cleaned the kitchen and dining room after the meal.
Shepherd's Table provides numerous services to clients located in the Silver Spring, Maryland community. According to the Shepherd's Table website, "The food service program is at the heart of the mission of Shepherd’s Table." Shepherd's Table has served at least one meal in the Silver Spring community every day for more than 30 years. In addition to the meal service program, Shepherd's Table offers a clothing closet and resource center for clients.
Grady Management team members are committed to giving back more in 2018 through the initiative Grady Gives. The goal of Grady Gives is for team members to donate time and/ or resources to at least one non profit organization every month.
So far in 2018, team members have assisted organizations such as:
Comfort Cases, The Fairfax County Humane Society, and Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless.
