Marvi Jackson currently serves as the Director of Information Technology with Grady Management. With almost two decades of committed and dedicated service in the IT space at GMI, serving the business needs from Leasing Consultants to the President and Chairman of GMI. She began her professional career as a high school teacher of Language Arts and History. Marvi’s journey also includes many years in the hospitality industry where her love for problem solving was sparked. She worked in different departments from front office, executive sales to reservations. It was here that her interest in technology was sparked during her stint as the Night Manager, she identified quickly that taking ownership and being accountable were the basic elements for getting things done. Marvi continued her education through completing computer software and hardware repair courses, Microsoft software certifications and keeping abreast of emerging IT security tips including cybersecurity, phishing and ransomware attacks. She credits her successes in her ability to recognize that we are all connected in some way or another, having a positive mind set, her patience, doing honest hard work and demonstrating strong work ethic. Marvi continues to play an integral role in the growth of GMI by leveraging strong support and leadership in her department.
